Resolution
Realizing that every day we use skin care products and cosmetics and give no thought as to the harmful chemicals that may be in them,
Encouraging people to read labels and question the products that are being sold to us.
Taking into account the fact that the skincare and cosmetics is unregulated.
Stressing because testing on products are seldom done before products are sold.
1. Proposes a bill to get the FDA/EPA to make companies test their products
2. Urges people to read labels and do research about the products that they use
3. Suggests other alternatives to the products that are harmful
4. Demands people to embrace their heritage and set their own standards
Deeply concerned with the fact that there’s toxins in beauty products and people are unaware,
Realizing that there are organic products that aren’t harmful to your health,
Noting with regret that although some people are informed about these toxins they don’t fight to make healthier products more available,
Encouraging people to realize that living in low-income communities should not keep us from having equal access to organic products,
Alarmed that these beauty and hygiene products chemicals are not more strictly viewed by the FDA,
Stressing that there should be more done in terms of the government making sure our everyday products are safe.
1. Recommends more awareness to the people.
2. Suggests that we speak to people in power about the unequal distribution of healthier products in low-income communities.
3. Demands that the government create a more regulatory list of chemicals that can be used in beauty and hygiene products that do not affect our health.
4. Urges people to either use less of these harmful products or switch to safer more organic products.
5. Emphasizes that people take initiative and begin to read product labels.
